Zirconium is a silver-gray transition metal, with atomic number of 40, atomic weight of 91.224, melting point of 1852°C, boiling point of 4377°C and density of 6.49g/cm³. Zirconium filament could be the important candidate for flashbulbs. Zirconium tubes are usually used as corrosion-resistant containers and pipes, especially for hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid.
