The chromium aluminum (CrAl) target reacts with nitrogen during the reaction deposition process, which can ideally form a superhard nitride coating. Since the CrAlN coating still has high hardness and oxidation resistance at high temperatures, the machine tool can use high feed co-ordinate when cutting, thereby improving the cutting speed of the equipment and the cutting quality of the workpiece.
