What is medium entropy alloy?
Medium entropy alloy is a new type of alloy material, usually composed of three or four main elements, and the atomic percent. The atomic percentage of each element varies around the equal atomic ratio or near the equal atomic ratio, and the mixing entropy is between the high entropy alloy and the conventional alloy . 1.Smelting method: The high-purity cobalt, chromium, nickel metal raw materials are put into the furnace in equal proportion, heated to melt above the melting point, and then through full stirring, refining and other processes, to obtain a uniform composition of cobalt chromium-nickel medium entropy alloy molten liquid, and finally cast to obtain alloy ingot.
2.Powder metallurgy method: the cobalt, chromium, nickel metal powder is mixed evenly according to the predetermined proportion, and then through pressing, sintering and other processes, the metallurgical combination between the powder particles is formed to prepare the cobalt chromium-nickel medium entropy alloy material. This method can produce alloy parts with complex shapes and precise dimensions.
